Poznań

Poznań is home to the oldest trade fairs in the country. The main cathedral, erected in 968, holds symbolic tomb of the first Polish ruler Mieszko I and the first king of Poland Boleslaw the Brave. Poznan is home to mechanical billy goats, installed in the town hall, which butt their horned heads 12 times at noon. Here you can also find the youngest imperial castle in Europe raised at the beginning of 20th century, and if you come to Poznań on November 11, you will have a chance to taste traditional St. Martin’s croissant.
